What is different about 'The Next Competitor'?

The Next Competitor is a performance system built to test, score, and improve your athletic ability. You’ll be assessed across the key pillars of performance, which can range from strength, speed, power, jumps, agility, & endurance.


Using 24 carefully selected metrics, we measure what translates best to performance and this results in an Athlete score. Each metric is scored out of 400, giving you a clear snapshot of where you stand.


How is your progress tracked?

Personalised Program: We select  5-8 key metrics that matter most for your sport /your goals, and your current training level and this becomes your training focus.


In-Season / Off-Season Group Programs: You rotate between 8 metrics (4 explosive, 3 strength, 1 endurance) every 16 weeks, for undeniable athletic development.


Hybrid Group Program: You have 5 metrics (1 endurance,  2 upper body, 2 lower body). No sprinting or jumping metrics included.


You’ll be tested at the start and end of each block, so you can see exactly how your performance is improving on your scorecard and on the field.

Everyday Competitor Endurance Program, Gold Coast Australia

In Season (x2-3 Sessions Per week)

Stay explosive and strong in-season!

The primary focus is on quality sets and quality reps. The workload is low to manage athlete training load and maximise sport performance. The sessions include sprinting, jumping, throwing and lifting to improve strength and power.  Endurance is NOT included as it's assumed your sports training will cover this.


Program Features:

  • Integrates with x2-3 sport sessions & x1 game per week
  • Competitor Athlete Score tested at start and end of cycle
